The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

To start off the novel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe the story was about 4 children. Their names were Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy. They couldn’t stay home because there was too much war going on where they lived so they were sent off to go stay with an old professor.

On the first day at their new home the youngest child, Lucy who was just 4 wanted to explore the new house. Lucy suggested a game called hide and seek. Her brother Peter who was the oldest stood up and started counting, while he was counting the other 3 children went to go hide. Lucy went to go hide in an old wardrobe where she discovered a new world called Narnia.

First as Lucy went further and further into the new world she met a faun. The fauns name was Mr. Tumnus he was startled at first. But Lucy was very nice and kind to him and he was no longer afraid. The faun was surprised because he rarely ever had seen humans in Narnia. Lucy was surprised because she had never seen a faun before. He walks with back to his old cage, where he lived. He told stories about how fauns use to play, laugh and sing. Also how now they had a witch who made it always winter and never Christmas. Mr. Tumnus played Lucy a song while she was drinking her tea and it started making her fall asleep and she dropped the tea and broke the teacup.

Second the faun starting crying, he was crying because he was going to kidnap Lucy and bring her to the witch. Mr. Tumnus didn’t want to do this because Lucy was an innocent little girl and he didn’t want her to be killed. So he quickly ran her back to the lamppost where they met which led her back home. When Lucy returned home her brothers and sisters were still playing hide and seek. In Narnia you can be gone for hours but in the house she was only gone for seconds. Lucy shared the story of her adventure with her brothers and sister they did not believe her. Lucy decided to go again, this time her brother Edmund saw her. Edmund followed Lucy into the wardrobe, when he entered Narnia he met the evil white witch. The witch fed him and told him to go get his brother and sisters. She told him that his little sister Lucy had been there before and met a faun. She told him to go get them and she promised him Turkish delight. When the White Witch who called herself the Queen of Narnia pulled off in her sled Lucy came out of the woods and hugged Edmund because she was happy the he saw the world that she was talking about. When they returned home and Lucy began to tell of her second adventure and told her brother and sister that Edmund went with her this time, Edmund denied it and this made Lucy cry.

On another day when Lucy and Edmund were playing a game, Edmund hit a ball too hard and it busted the window of the house. Ms. Mcready, the housekeeper, was coming so they ran and hid in the wardrobe. They fell back into the world called Narnia they explored it some more. This time they met animals calling them sons of Adam and daughters of Eve. Some of the animals told them they had met a lion named Aslan at stone table. To fight in war they had to get the materials to beat the witches crew and when they got the sword, dagger, arrows , healing drink ,and a horn for when you are in trouble after they got their materials to fight they beat the witch’s crew and fulfilled the prophecy and killed the witch. Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy became Kings and Queens for several years in Narnia, but on earth they were only gone for a few seconds
